Regal Weddings, an Udaipur-based wedding planner company attended the event with 22 other wedding and event planners from Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai. “The tourism board invited planners who had an online presence and have been in the industry for nine years. They were made to explore 16 resorts  and were introduced to vendors who would aid in organising the wedding,” says co-founder Ankit Bhargava, whose partner Vishv Vijae, attended this junket.

Regal Weddings already caters to foreign clients who wish to have a wedding in India, and Bhargava is in talks to organise a wedding of an Indian couple in Phuket — his first such business deal. “We cater to
foreigners, who choose Indian destination weddings. We also cater to NRIs who want a big Indian wedding.”

Hi Guys

I just want to thank you for a fantastic wedding! Everybody had a wonderful time, they kept saying what a wonderful job you guys did!!

Also I think you are meeting people called Amit and Heena regarding their daughters wedding in March next year, is it possible when you meet them to hand over my Wedding DVDs for photos/videography etc as they live close to me! Please let me know if this is possible!

Daljit & Gurmakh Wedding in Goa, 27th Oct 2011

Dear Ankit,

The dvd’s have arrived thanks, I got them at the beginning of the week.

Also we just wanted to say a massive thank you for making our wedding day one of the most memorable and enjoyable days of our lives….we both had an amazing day and all our family and friends had a wonderful time too…..it’s great to hear everyone still sharing their memories and highlights of the day, even now over a month later!!

The organization of the day was brilliant despite OUR Indian time keeping!! And the beach venue , ceremony and the whole evening was amazing,better than I could have imagined……it is always a bit scary planning a wedding abroad as you never know what to expect….but it was perfect! In fact a number of the family want to come back and renew their wedding vows….so we may see you again in the future!! Thank you so much again for making our day perfect.

With Destination Weddings being a big market in India, It is the time now when Indian Tourism Industry should start looking into promotion of more Destinations (apart from already exhausted Rajasthan and Goa).

Idea of touring around Southern India more specifically Tamil Nadu and Kerala was lived up when I was invited for a FAM tour of one of the Beach Resorts in Mamallapuram near Chennai. Its an hour drive from Chennai International Airport which is as good as you driving any Resort in South Goa from Airport. The Resort is all set to invite the Couples who are looking for more uncommon and private Beach Destinations to celebrate the most memorable day of their life.

The Resort has about 142 Rooms categorised into Chalet Cottages, Poolside Cottages, Private Pool Villas, Sea facing Villas etc. but all of them has got a very typical south Indian feel pleasantly mixed up with modern amenities.

There are variety of indoor and outdoor Venues which could take up a gathering upto 2000 people so fit enough for an extravaganza if you are looking for any. I personally found the Beach Side Venues to be really suitable for a small gathering (100-150 pax) weddings. The view of Sea at the backdrop is completely clear with no shabby shacks and resturants in between. The sound of crushing waves is loud and audible!

The Resort offers variety of outdoor activities like Fishing, Zorbing, ATB Biking, Outdoor Games and what not for a perfect holiday. The Food is amazing! and not to mention the typical south Indian meal also has its own charm.

Chennai being just an hour away, logistically any kind of Setup, decoration, Music, entertainment etc could be well organised.

My first impression as soon as I entered Raas Leela was “WOW”, consider that I have been living in Udaipur past 30 years and have been to every nook and corner!

This small Tented Property by the side of Lake Pichola overlooking City Palace, Lake Palace and Aravali Hills is such a great charm that I could not resist myself visualizing how good this Venue could be for Intimate Weddings.

The outdoor Lawn  is very well maintained and normally runs as a popular Restaurant. This place is bought up aesthetically to work as a Wedding Venue with adding just some small touches to the setup and Decoration. The Place itself is so scenic and captivating that you do not feel like putting anything on top to make it look better.

They have 7 Luxury Tents to fit in a small gathering but there are several nice Heritage Hotels around to accommodate more Guests. The Lawns are good for a Party of 100-125 Guests.

The only challenge is the approach to Raas Leela, you have to walk 100 meters in narrow lanes to get here after parking your Vehicle but honestly thats worth.

A wonderful couple indeed!

Gina (The Bride) spent almost 8 months to plan her Wedding with Venu (The Groom) in Udaipur.
They fall in love with Udaipur during their early Trip and wanted something very exclusive, classy and peaceful for a small gathering of Family and Friends.

An Indian style of Wedding was organised at one of the Heritage Hotel called Udaigarh, the Terrace worked really well for this small Group. Thereafter a day later a more formal English style of Wedding to exchange Vows and Rings took place at Fort Fatehgarh.

Here are the glimpses of a very elegant, traditional and fun filled Wedding being hosted at Chunda Palace. Since the aesthetic beauty is appealing enough, the couple always wanted to keep the surroundings natural and minimal. We chose the Top Terrace as Venue for Wedding Ceremony to look after their idea.

Mandap was set set up in one of the Gokhda (Gazebo) which represents old style of Architecture. Thin curtain of fresh and fragrant Jasmine Flowers was put in front and the colorful Floral Rangolis all around Chunda Palace.

A Sunset Wedding Ceremony followed by a sit down Dinner was further  thoroughly enjoyed by “dance off” till 4 in Morning (at an indoor venue).
