This is my personal blog to share the experiences I have gathered over past 10 years of Destination Wedding Planning. I have booked this domain for last four years, but never really thought of using it besides being used for emails, but lately after getting many blog sites about anything and everything, I realized blogging can be an excellent opportunity to share my thoughts! Apart from that I honestly feel that the commercial brochure websites related to wedding planning and planners somehow lack the first hand information about various subtle but important aspects involved in helping the overseas couples to take perfect and quick decision. This Blog will try to cover those aspects.
So what is Destination Weddings all about? Destination weddings are those to which the couple and their guests travel, as opposed to the traditional weddings that take place in a couple’s country of residence. As wedding costs continue to escalate and as brides become increasingly more practical, the trend of destination weddings has maintained full momentum. This is also largely because there’s the added bonus of getting a ceremony and a honeymoon in one place. Some brides also claim that it may help control the guest list, since not everyone would have the flexibility or finances to travel. However, for those guests who are able to attend, destination weddings allow couples to offer them both a unique venue and a vacation getaway.
I will try to mainly write about the following :
1. General Tips for planning a Destination Wedding in India
2. Case Studies which will help the Brides-to-be to make several decisions
3. Several aspects, challenges, benefits of a Destination Wedding in India.
I shall also try to write about various possible wedding locations in India whether its a Beach Resort in Goa, a centuries old Palace now converted to a Hotel in Rajasthan or just another Luxury Resort at a popular Holiday spot. So far I have been focusing on Goa, Rajasthan and Kerala but by the medium of this Wedlog, I also invite the Property owners or the destination enthusiasts to get in touch via this Blog and explore possibility of popularizing other potential locations.
